Jessica Marten, curator of American art, speaks on a new installation of work by members of the Rochester Art Club. Founded in 1877, the Club counted many early champions of MAG among its members, and its president, George Herdle, would go on to become the Gallery's first director.
This program is offered in conjunction with the 5th Rochester Biennial, an exhibition that also celebrates regional art. Followed by the opportunity to ask questions and included in Gallery admission.
