Rosalyn Engelman (American, born 1938) is a painter, sculptor, and installation artist. She works with a variety of materials and produces art with a striking range of expressive content. In all of her work, Engelman is searching for beauty, hope, and transcendence.

This exhibition features five works from Engelman’s 2003–04 “Echo Sonata” series, which she created following numerous trips to Japan with her husband between 1975 and 1999. Engelman is a University of Rochester alumna, and currently lives and works in New York, NY. Learn more

Third Thursday Concerts are special one-hour programs featuring Eastman’s spectacular Italian Baroque Organ. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm in the MAG Fountain Court and are included with museum admission. Seating is unreserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. On this first concert of 2018, enjoy harpsichord and organ music with students from Eastman School of Music.

Join us for a tribute to legendary artist David Bowie during the Bowie Birthday Bash. Enjoy music, face painting, birthday cake, museum fun, a costume contest with prizes, a Bowie-inspired art show, and a slew of Bowie music videos.

Special treat - Rochester City Ballet will perform their first performance of 2018, we will be performing segments of our David Bowie ballet ‘Under the Moonlight.’ 

Bowie ornaments, Mug Shot Bowie, and Angel Bowie specialty ceramics will be available at the Cat Clay pop up shop during the event!
