Installing the very large works in Paint Made Flesh was a challenge, but MAG’s exhibitions and facilities staff were up to the task. In mid-October, 2009, a team of art installers was called in to help with the heavy lifting, and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, which organized the show, sent two staff members to oversee the installation. The entire process took 2-1/2 days. Among the works: Jenny Saville’s monumental canvas Hyphen, shown at left.
Paint Made Flesh was on view October 25, 2009 through January 3, 2010. Learn more about the exhibition
