Art can trigger memories, thoughts and feelings, even in individuals with dementia. In November 2011, MAG director of education Susan Daiss accepted an award from Rochester’s Alzheimer’s Association honoring the Gallery and the “Meet Me at the MAG” program. The program is designed to provide Alzheimer’s patients and their care partners the opportunity to spend time together enjoying the therapeutic value of art. Helping with the program are a corps of MAG docents and former staff member Delores Jackson Radney.
