It was a party unlike any other in MAG history! Guests at the October 16 opening for Psychedelic: Optical and Visionary Art Since the 1960s were greeted by go-go dancers and the sounds of the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles. Some partiers pulled tie-dyed shirts, love beads, headbands and fringed jackets out of the attic, while others born too late to remember the 1960s had fun putting together their own groovy garb. The whole building was transformed, from the B&L Parlor (aka Lava Lounge) to the M&T Bank Ballroom, where a disco-style sound and light show mesmerized all on the dance floor. More about the party
