On April 30, 2010, 200 guests celebrated the opening of Albert Paley in the 21st Century with indoor gardens, gourmet picnic catered by Max, live entertainment, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a sneak peek at the exhibition. “Party with Paley,” was presented by the Gallery’s Board of Managers and sponsored by Klein Steel, Inc. Among the works auctioned off by director of advancement Joe Carney were limited-edition prints by Albert Paley and Frances Paley, a painting by John Greene, and a specially commissioned string quartet by Eastman School of Music dean Douglas Lowry.

In all, the event raised more than $29,000 for the Gallery’s operating budget.
