Vanden Brul Pavilion

Pardon our Dust

Vanden Brul Pavilion Construction

The Vanden Brul Pavilion, at the entrance of the Memorial Art Gallery, was constructed in 1985. Over time, rainwater has penetrated the original 2,500- square-foot skylight causing damage to the architectural elements below. Engineering analysis indicates a complete replacement of the skylight is necessary.

The skylight replacement project will involve the replacement of the existing three-bay skylight with a single skylight. A single skylight will create a larger volume of space for exhibiting artwork and also create a focal point of light visible from University Avenue. The installation of new energy-efficient glass panels in the framework will reduce the amount of heat load within the space, which will reduce the utility costs to the MAG.

Only the glass doors at the front entrance of MAG will be accessible. Accessible parking will be in the Goodman Lot. Brown Hound Downtown, THE STORE @ MAG and the Creative Workshop will remain open.

Safety considerations
For your safety, our north entrance at the blue awning is currently closed. Please enter at the Creative Workshop or University Avenue, main entrance.

Our north driveway will occasionally be closed to through traffic. Vehicle entrances at Goodman or Prince will remain open at all times. Buses should load and unload at University entrance.

Thank you for your patience during this process.
